Riverside Preschool Statistics

Regular participation in high-quality after school programs
is linked to:
  • Significant gains in standarized test scores
  • Improved classroom work habits
  • Reductions in behavior problems
  • Increased likelihood of high school graduation
After school participation has been shown to reduce:
  • Violence and juvenile crime
  • Drug use and addiction
  • Other high-risk behaviors

For each high-risk youth prevented from adopting a life of crime, experts estimate the country saves between $1.7 and $2.3 million.
